  • Individual Therapy

Our initial sessions will be dedicated to assessing your current concerns and creating a personalized treatment plan to fit your needs and goals. Our focus will include reducing symptoms and improving your quality of life by healing from pain and suffering related to mental health conditions, previous life experiences, or current life transitions. I offer both in person or Telehealth appointments for residents of California.

    45 minutes Session | $250

  • Family Therapy

Initial sessions help everyone come to a shared understanding of the problem and the plan for growth. A major focus of family therapy is improving family health and is achieved through focusing on elements within the family and those outside pressures that affect the family. Family therapy does not focus on one person as the problem. Goals include improved connectedness, communication, and overall family health. “Family” is defined by you.

    45 minutes | $250
    60 minutes | $275

  • Consultation

I am extremely passionate about developing evidence-based and trauma-informed mental health programming, and mentorship of mental health professionals. I have developed inpatient psychiatric and outpatient crisis programs that were providing high quality care. Consultation can address any of these areas above. Consultation goals may be one time meetings, or longer relationships to address your specific needs with careers or programs.

  • What is suicidality? Suicidal thoughts can range from thoughts like wishing to not wake up, thinking about death, wanting to die, to planning out how to die. These thoughts can be fleeting, come and go, happen once, or be all one can think about. A major myth is that suicidal thoughts happen only when someone is depressed or “something bad happened." While thinking about death can happen in those instances, thoughts can also happen during transitions, loss, feeling lonely, anxiety, and many others as a way to cope with pain and suffering. Together, we will find out what your triggers are and learn how to build new skills. Click here to learn more about suicide.

Self-harm is different than suicidal thoughts, and can happen at the same time or without thoughts of suicide. Self-harm is directly hurting one’s own body without wanting to die. Self-harm includes, but is not limited to, cutting, burning, scratching, and head banging. It can be a way to cope with pain, loneliness, or a way to ask for help. We will learn more about triggers for self-harm, understand its function for you, and new ways to cope with your distress.

  • Adolescence comes with so many new experiences that can be both thrilling and overwhelming for a teen and their loved ones. This is a major milestone in development with a great deal of changes emotionally, physically, and in expectations from the environment (school, parents, jobs, friends…you name it). During adolescence, it is also possible to experience first episode of psychosis or bipolar disorder within the teen years.

As a teen therapist, I work with teens individually to help increase their understanding of what is overwhelming or where they are getting stuck, and learn new patterns and skills for navigating the teen years that they hopefully take into adulthood. I also incorporate parents or caregivers to learn more about their child and ways to more effectively support with them.

With first episode psychosis or Bipolar Disorder, our goal is to develop a plan to get on the path to recovery throu h understanding where we are now and how to best understand our symptoms and ways to manage them moving forward.

    Ages are 13-18

  • Young adulthood is typically thought of as 18-25 years of age when people are transitioning into adult-focused systems, like college or employment. It is possibly a major change in responsibilities, expectations, and many other areas of your life. Young adult therapy can focus on adjusting to transitions, anxiety or depression that arises, and finding yourself in this new phase of life.

Additionally, first episode psychosis or Bipolar Disorder can occur in this phase of life. If this is you, we work to understand our current symptoms and how to work towards recovery. Let’s talk to learn more about how I can help you by contacting me here.

  • It is important to work with a therapist who understands the relationship between your medical condition and mental health. It is all connected. I have experience in working with neurology, endocrinology, oncology, and chronic pain. While I do not focus on treatment adherence, I do focus on how the mind and body are connected and develop an understanding of how it’s all working (or not working) together.

  • “Family” can be defined broadly to mean the group or unit of people with shared children. Just like children, families go through many developmental changes during the course of their child’s development. Family therapy focuses on addressing barriers to growth with improved communication, reduced conflict, and improved relationships and family functioning. Family therapy usually involves parents/caregivers and their child with emphasis on the problem (and solution) being within the group and not one person.
